We are a natural medicine and homeopathy clinic based in Brookvale, on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Our clinic team are all experienced, fully qualified homeopaths and members of professional associations. We keep up to date with new developments in our field and contribute articles to professional journals. Each year we complete an extensive continuing education program and we mentor new graduates. Some of the practitioners are also fully qualified naturopaths as well as being homeopaths. Each of our team has experience in the general care of adults and children as well as their special areas of interest. Consequently they are happy to consult with all family members.
Mel Owen-Browne
BSc DipHom (LCCH) RSHom
Mel has recently been welcomed to the HHC, after running a busy Homeopathic clinic in the UK for 15 years. Her background in human biology and psychology lead her naturally into homeopathy and she has been treating individuals and families successfully for a large range of health problems as well as mentoring students of homeopathy for many years.
Mel uses both traditional methods of homeopathic treatment in combination with the Asyra machine. The Asyra Bio Resonance Health Screening System is a highly sophisticated computer based system for detecting energetic imbalances in the body. Two brass handles are held and thousands of frequencies are passed through the body (a little like high speed kinesiology) measuring the body’s resistance to certain frequencies. The resistance gives clues as to the body organ systems that are out of balance and will detect underlying causes to the problems, including nutritional deficiency, toxic overload, emotional stress, hormonal imbalance (thyroid, adrenal, reproductive), and allergy sensitivity (environmental and foods). One of the Asyra’s primary uses is to discover which foods are causing issues for an individual. Once we know what we are reacting to, we can take positive steps to modify our eating habits. Whether the symptoms you are experiencing are pain, bloating, lack of energy, headaches, moodiness, heartburn, constipation or diarrhoea, the Asyra will be able to detect the possible underlying causes. The Asyra will give us clues as to whether the food in question is causing an immediate inflammatory response or whether the effects are more lingering and chronic. However, please note that the Asyra is NOT a diagnostic machine but it will measure your body’s response to energetic frequencies to determine underlying imbalances.
Mel uses homeopathy, energetic balancing drops made by the Asyra and nutritional advice to restore health. She says “My sole aim is to help people with their total well-being, mentally, emotionally and physically. My motto is freedom – freedom from unwanted symptoms, freedom from toxic chemicals and freedom for people to make natural choices for themselves and their family.”
A full assessment will look at all areas of imbalance and the programme of treatment will gently and subtly bring the body back to balance, restore health and desensitize the body to key allergens.
Susie Bolton
AdvDipHom AROH AHA ATMS
Susie looks at identifying and addressing the root cause of the issue to find a balance between mind, body and spirit, so as to bring stability to general health and increase vitality.
Susie will thoroughly consider your symptoms, your history, your lifestyle, your mental and emotional makeup and will tailor the choice of remedy accordingly. Treatment thereafter is based on dynamic teamwork between patient and practitioner.
Homeopathy completely won her over when, after being sprayed in the eyes by an insect, she developed a condition in the eyes that could not be helped or cured by medicine or surgery.
She was treated with homeopathy for an eye condition. Two months later the ophthalmologist found the condition had improved by 90% and within 4 months her eyes were, and have remained, completely normal.
She is a married mother of two and has a mother in her late 80s who is on no medications, except homeopathy and natural therapies. Within the family Susie has four adorable dogs who respond beautifully to homeopathy if needed.

Jacqui Harrison
BHom BNat DipNutr AHA ATMS
Jacqui discovered Homeopathy after struggling to resolve the constant problem of her toddler’s runny nose. Having no success with conventional treatment, she discovered a local GP practicing Homeopathy and after a few doses of homeopathic Calc-carb, the chronic problem was solved and a life long journey of discovery begun.
Some thirty years later, Jacqui herself is a practicing Homeopath, Naturopath, Medical Herbalist and Nutritionist and follows an integrated approach of Natural Medicine complimented by conventional medicine when necessary. The best of both worlds.
Jacqui’s clinical interests include general family health care (including pets), women’s health, stress related issues including anxiety & depression, and therapeutic support for immune related issues.
Jacqui understands the pressures of juggling a busy life and making well informed healthy food choices for the family. As a naturopathic nutritionist, she can help remove the guess work with simple suggestions that won’t break the bank or cause mutiny at the table. Often, all it takes is a little tweaking of food and lifestyle to achieve weight goals or improve the family’s health.
Jacqui views Homeopathy as the medicine for the 21st century. Homeopathy is able to re-balance the mind & body, improve vitality while stimulating the immune system and resolving both chronic health issues and short term acute symptoms. Dare to be Brave and take your health care to the next level.

Linlee Jordan
Linlee Jordan
BHom DipNutr MHlthScEd RN
Linlee uses a pragmatic approach to health care. She includes a practical amount of nutritional support alongside homeopathy, which proves to be an especially effective combination for kids with glue ear, recurrent ear infections, conjunctivitis, large tonsils, coughs and ASD. Over the last 28 years in practice, Linlee has found that a major role of homeopathy is to help get kids off the antibiotic treadmill or correct problems resulting from past overuse. This is where Linlee’s rich background in nursing and natural health is very helpful. She is happy to work with your local Doctor, if necessary, in order for you to get the best health care solution possible. “In my experience with children, where compliance to a treatment regime is often difficult, homeopathy shows the best results out of all the complementary health methods available and it tastes good – say no more!” Linlee has published many articles and given Keynote presentations at seminars about the treatment of teething, post-traumatic birth problems, post partum depression, early behaviour problems, and developmental disorders. Her book “Challenging Children: Success with Homeopathy” contains a collection of stories from homeopaths around Australia who are treating these problems and each of the practitioners at the Harbord Homeopathic Clinic has contributed a case. The stories show the breadth of what can be achieved even in difficult cases and what will happen long-term, so that parents know what to expect from homeopathic treatment. It was written after careful reflection on the priorities and needs of families who are seeking an alternative style of treatment.
Linlee is a Recognised Provider of the Autism Support Project which brings affordable homeopathic care to children diagnosed as Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has been recognised because of her experience and training, through a process of peer review and case presentation about developmental problems in children. She provides half price treatment for ASD children on Tuesdays. Join Linlee on Facebook

Penny Barron
Penny Barron
BSc DRM AdvDipHom
Penny studied Homeopathy and Remedial Massage at Nature Care College in St Leonards after completing a Science degree majoring in Anatomy at Sydney University. Penny has a special interest in family issues, and she has experience in the following areas of childhood: behavioural issues, sleep, nightmares, ear problems and digestive disorders. For the mothers, Penny focuses on assisting female hormonal issues, anxiety, mood swings, fertility management and stress. Penny has three children and her life experience in combination with her studies have given her an in-depth understanding of many of the issues that come with raising a family, from both a child and parent centred view. Penny’s sensible attitude to health as well as her ability to often find the lighter side to difficult times allow her to assist in finding perspective in the midst of family stress. Her experience in nutritional health issues complements the homeopathic medicine. At the 2012 Australian Homeopathic Medicine National Conference, Penny presented a paper on the treatment of glue ear for which she received much positive feedback. Basically her research found that treatment programmes using ear mix, plus a carefully chosen constitutional remedy, and some dietary advice had a high success rate. This is a finding of great importance since otitis media is such a common reason for children to be taken to the doctor for treatment. Natural Therapy page

Angela Nicholson
Angela Nicholson
AdvDipHom AHA
During my twenties I saw a homeopath for my numerous health issues, it was during this process that I fell in love with homeopathy. I had been prescribed frequent rounds of antibiotics and other conventional treatments and slowly became aware that my health was deteriorating. After taking control of my health and my recovery I favour a more natural approach to medicine that encompasses body, mind and emotions. My family and I choose natural medicine as our preferred choice of healthcare and my 3 children (and our dog, Bear) are a testament to homeopathy as they seem to sail through life’s challenges.
I use an intuitive way of prescribing and I draw on an understanding of the ten components from the “Thinking Environment” to help create the best conditions for patients to maximise their outcomes. I appreciate the journey of healing is a joint process and I offer my full support during the process.
Through my own personal experience of suffering with emotional, skin, gut, chronic fatigue and respiratory issues this has led me to a deeper knowledge and understanding in these areas. General family healthcare, anxiety, depression and helping clients to limit their antibiotics usage are also my areas of interest. I enjoy supporting peoples’ own immune systems so their bodies’ can naturally fight against infectious diseases while at home or away travelling.
I am constantly expanding my knowledge in Homeopathy and beyond, and I feel being open minded to a variety of approaches and methods leads to successful prescriptions. I am also a trainer and educator in Homeopathy and Access Consciousness and I am available for talks in the clinic and externally. I regularly hold workshops to inform mums and dads on how they can use homeopathy in the home. Check out our events on the clinic Facebook page for our next talk. I am also involved with mentoring students and interns in the clinic and through the Australian Homeopathic Association at Woodford Folk Festival.
