Emma Howard
B.Sc Naturopathy, B.Ed Teaching, Associate Fellowship of Dr Banerji's Advanced Homeopathy
As a degree qualified naturopath with a focus on homeopathy, Emma priorities are listening to her patients’ unique needs. Some of these people have either never a tried natural approach or are unable to believe anyone can help their symptoms. People who see Emma for post cancer recovery find her supportive and able to recommend specific homeopathy and supplements to accommodate their individual needs. Recovery outcomes have included patients feeling increasingly energised and healthy. Treatment approaches include:
1) Analysis of blood tests according to a software package containing optimal naturopathic reference ranges.
2) A small device is used to carryout a detailed health check to determine which nutrients are deficient inside the cells, not determined by blood tests. There is no substitute for this test in Emma’s opinion. The body is able draw out the nutrients from the tissues to get the best blood result possible. This means the blood can appear to have an adequate supply of nutrients while the tissues can be deficient in these same nutrients. For example, this health check may detect a calcium deficiency in the bones and teeth before symptoms appear.
3) A Hair 500 test to determine which foods are causing persisting inflammation. Inflammation can impair the healing process particularly in the gut. This significantly affects nutrient absorption. Emma’s post cancer recovery regime always includes the Hair 500 with the aim of reducing the body’s inflammation, absorbing the nutrients from the supplements and supporting cell regeneration.
Emma has completely recovered from her own debilitating illness and is passionate about helping others who are not able to picture complete mental and physical health in their future. Her infectious enthusiasm for children’s health has come from raising her own three children and teaching hundreds of children as a primary school teacher. She focusses her ongoing homeopathy training on the current health needs in children particularly with ASD, ADHD and behavioural challenges. She lives by the mantra:
“The future of health starts with prevention”
Working with couples with preconception care ideally occurs before a couple even try to conceive. Detoxification and MTHFR gene assessment are best done at this stage. However, fertility support alongside IVF is also an approach Emma will prepare the body for. The secret to her regime is encouraging patients to commit to deliver all the required nutrients to their eggs three months before conception. An increasing number of people are experiencing autoimmune conditions, hypothyroidism and fatigue. Emma is thankful that she can marry her skills from both her naturopathy and homeopathy training to work synergistically in these conditions.
Mel Owen-Browne
BSc DipHom (LCCH) RSHom
Mel has been with our clinic for almost 5 years now working with Homeopathy and Bio Resonance on the Qest4 system. She is also the main trainer for Qest4 systems in Australia and New Zealand.
Having practiced classically for 25 years, Mel decided to incorporate Bio Resonance into her clinical practice to help determine the underlying issues in people and bring them back to balance in mind, body and spirit. During testing, informational patterns are passed through the body which the body responds to in different ways. Each response shows as either a stress or depleted response which enables her to see where the main issues lie. More often than not, a combination of sensitivities, emotional stress, hormonal imbalances, toxic load, nutritional deficiencies, etc will be at the root of someone’s ill health. The Qest4 system pulls all the relevant information together which is then made into a unique energetic imprinted remedy to bring the person back into health and wellbeing.
Mel has been working with the system for 8 years and finds that the results for her clients are profound. She also uses traditional homeopathic remedies which she prescribes alongside the remedy made on the Qest4.
Mel also makes a range ‘Q Drops’ sold in our shop, to help with acute ailments and runs an online bio resonance pet clinic every Friday.
She lives in Avalon with her husband, two teenage daughters and breeds mini dachshunds.

Sarah Saunders
Practitioner Advanced Diploma in Homeopathy
Sarah originally qualified as a homeopath in 1999 and was drawn to homeopathy because of her daughter’s health problems. At the age of 5 she had many chronic complaints, and Sarah says “I kept searching for ways to alleviate these. Eventually I was recommended to see a homeopath and the results were astonishing. Thus I became more and more determined to study this healing art for myself”.
Although Sarah has treated many different conditions, one patient is particularly memorable to her. A lady who had experienced three courses of IVF, but could not fall pregnant. “I researched other homeopaths who had knowledge and success in this area and put together a program for my patient. Within two months she was pregnant”. They were both overjoyed. Fertility is something Sarah has now studied and researched in depth and she has set up a fertility program to help those that wish to have assistance in conceiving. If they choose to, they can use the program at the same time as IVF.
Migraines, panic attacks and chronic coughs are also complaints that Sarah has had a lot of success in treating.

Linlee Jordan
BHom DipNutr MHlthScEd RN
Linlee uses a pragmatic approach to health care. She includes a practical amount of nutritional support alongside homeopathy, which proves to be an especially effective combination for kids with glue ear, recurrent ear infections, conjunctivitis, large tonsils, coughs and ASD. Over the last 28 years in practice, Linlee has found that a major role of homeopathy is to help get kids off the antibiotic treadmill or correct problems resulting from past overuse. This is where Linlee’s rich background in nursing and natural health is very helpful. She is happy to work with your local Doctor, if necessary, in order for you to get the best health care solution possible. “In my experience with children, where compliance to a treatment regime is often difficult, homeopathy shows the best results out of all the complementary health methods available and it tastes good – say no more!” Linlee has published many articles and given Keynote presentations at seminars about the treatment of teething, post-traumatic birth problems, post partum depression, early behaviour problems, and developmental disorders. Her book “Challenging Children: Success with Homeopathy” contains a collection of stories from homeopaths around Australia who are treating these problems and each of the practitioners at the Harbord Homeopathic Clinic has contributed a case. The stories show the breadth of what can be achieved even in difficult cases and what will happen long-term, so that parents know what to expect from homeopathic treatment. It was written after careful reflection on the priorities and needs of families who are seeking an alternative style of treatment.
Linlee is a Recognised Provider of the Autism Support Project which brings affordable homeopathic care to children diagnosed as Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has been recognised because of her experience and training, through a process of peer review and case presentation about developmental problems in children. Join Linlee on Facebook

Penny’s grounded attitude to health as well as her ability to often find the lighter side to difficult times allow her to assist in finding perspective in the midst of family stress. Her experience in nutritional health issues complements the homeopathic medicine.
When Penny is not seeing clients at the HHC, she is teaching in homeopathic, nutritional and medical science subjects as well as supervising student clinics in homeopathy, naturopathy and nutrition.
These include:
- Nutritional advice and discussion about the best brands to buy for a special diet along with email. Please allow 45 minutes extra in addition to follow up consult or allow 1.5 hours for nutrition consult only (without homeopathic prescription) to address specific health issues
- Blood chemistry pathology analysis: please allow 45 minutes extra in addition to follow up consult or as a standalone, during which Penny can input blood results through specialised software to ascertain optimal ranges and go deeper into finding out what your blood tests may be hiding. Best if you book an initial consult first to make sure the tests you are having are the correct ones.
- HTMA - Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. Please allow 30 minutes extra in addition to usual follow up consult or as a standalone, to ascertain mineral levels in the tissues. This can be very useful when there is suspected heavy metal toxicity or mineral imbalances which can lead to many issues such as hashimotos thyroiditis, hormonal imbalances, mood swings and insomnia.
- Hair 500 test - this test aims to narrow down food intolerances (NOT allergy testing) which can be subtle and over time have a long term impact on gut health and contribute to underlying systemic inflammation. Please allow 45 minutes for a standalone initial or 30 minutes for a follow up.
