Womens Health
Over a span of over twenty five years, our clinic has seen a growing number of women seeking help with reproductive health problems, menstrual disorders, mood disorders, menopause, pregnancy and childbirth.
The use of natural medicine for menopause for instance is common. A telephone survey of more than 850 women showed that 76 % used alternative therapies with 22 % using these therapies to treat their menopause symptoms. As many as 89 % found these therapies to be helpful.
Homeopathy and women's health
Menopause:
Studies have shown 80% of women treated with homeopathic medicine experienced significant improvements in their hot flushes, tiredness, sleep problems, headaches and psychological problems. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22087613/
PMS:
A randomised controlled double-blind clinical trial, showed Homeopathic treatment was found to be effective in alleviating the symptoms of PMS. https://greenmedinfo.com/article/homeopathic-treatment-was-found-be-effective-alleviating-symptoms-pms-comparis
Endometriosis:
An important cause of infertility. It may also cause painful periods, heavy periods, and sometimes chronic pelvic pain. Research has shown that homeopathy is one of a number of natural medicines that women find useful in treating endometriosis.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS):
The root cause lies in hormonal disturbance and it is a complex condition. In a homeopathy clinical trial of 36 women suffering from PCOS, 32 women had complete disappearance of symptoms of PCOS, followed by the production of normal ovulating follicles.
Postnatal depletion:
This is a common concern at the clinic. The homeopath explores your personality, characteristics, preferences, sensations, feelings, mental, emotional, and physical state in a thorough consultation. This helps the homeopath to select the best suited remedy for you in that moment.
IV Therapy support for women's health
Delivers nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system for rapid absorption and bioavailability. By enhancing hydration and nutrient levels through IV infusions, women may experience improved energy levels, better mood stabilization, and increased resilience against stress. Many women report a sense of renewed vitality and clarity after treatment.
IV Therapy for Perimenopause
Hormonal Balance: Supports adrenal function and helps reduce hot flashes, insomnia, and anxiety. Helps regulate mood, reduce fatigue, and supports energy production.
Bone Health: Calcium, magnesium, and Vitamin D, promote bone density and stregth, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
IV Therapy for PCOS
PCOS is associated with insulin resistance, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, and oxidative stress. IV therapy can address these issues by delivering targeted nutrients.
IV Therapy for PMS
PMS symptoms, such as mood swings, bloating, fatigue, and cramps, are often linked to hormonal fluctuations and nutrient deficiencies.
Postnatal depletion:
Characterised by fatigue, mood swings, and general malaise following childbirth. Ensuring the body receives a higher concentration of nutrients quickly, can be particularly advantageous for new mothers.
Bioresonance and women's health
Using a simple and safe low voltage circuit formed by holding two brass cylinders, the response of the body to certain signals is recorded. This provides a further source of information in addition to those obtained from case history, questioning and observation. The response being measured is small changes in the electrical resistance of the skin. This information is relayed back to the software. A report is generated on the computer of any responses that are outside specific limits.
Practitioners use the results to inform aspects of a wellness programme, such as nutrition, herbs, and homeopathy.
Naturopathy and women's health
Naturopathy offers a holistic approach to managing conditions like menopause, perimenopause, PMS, PCOS, and endometriosis. For menopause and perimenopause, naturopaths focus on balancing hormones naturally using herbal remedies (e.g., black cohosh, red clover), nutritional support (e.g., phytoestrogens), and stress-reducing techniques like rectangular breathing. Hot flushes, mood swings and sleep disturbances often reduce when hormones come into balance.
For PMS, naturopaths may recommend dietary adjustments, such as reducing sugar and caffeine, along with supplements like magnesium and vitamin B6, which may assist in supporting the causative conditions behind can help ease bloating, fatigue, and irritability.
In managing PCOS, a personalised herbal remedy is formulated with the aim of restoring hormonal balances and regulating periods. Dietary changes are vital if insulin resistance exists.
For endometriosis, naturopathic treatments aim to reduce both pelvic pain and inflammation by using a personalised approach which may include bromelain, PEA powder, and N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) and alpha-lipoic acid. Dietary adjustments, such as eliminating gluten, dairy, and FODMAPs, can also assist in reducing inflammation and supporting gut health, which is often linked to hormonal balance.
